Zoe Maeve is a comics artist and illustrator originally from Tkaronto/Toronto who now lives in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. In 2021 their first book The Gift was published by Conundrum Press and they were  nominated for an Ignatz Award for Promising New Talent. Their book July Underwater, which was the recipient of Best English Comic at the 2016 Expozine awards, was released to a widespread audience with Conundrum Press for the first time in 2022. The same year, The Gift was published in Spanish as El Regalo by Editorial Alpha Decay and they contributed a chapter to Z2 Comics’ project You Forgot It In People, based on the music of Broken Social Scene.
